Krishonda Wright is a vibrant and dedicated rehabilitative mental health provider. Originally from Oakland, CA, she is happily married to her high school sweetheart and is a proud mother of three wonderful children—two boys and one girl, ages 12-16. Their family wouldn’t be complete without their dog, Bay, who’s named after their beloved Bay Area and is a true Golden State Warriors fan.
Her family made the big move to Vegas in 2013. Soon after, Krishonda attended the College of Southern Nevada, where she graduated with an AA in Psychology, boasting a 3.9 GPA. She made the Dean's List for three consecutive years and is a proud member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. After taking some time off to raise her children, she was accepted into the University of Las Vegas Nevada. She’s now majoring in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and is less than a year away from earning her BA.
Krishonda is excited to further her education by entering a Master's program in Family Therapy to become an LMFT. She has a special knack for working with teens and young adults—“I was told I speak teen,” she says—but she’s available to help anyone in need. With her spiritual, caring, and non-judgmental nature, combined with a great sense of humor (“I’ve got not just one funny bone but two!”), Krishonda finds it a humbling and blessed experience to work with people from all walks of life, providing a helping hand where it’s needed most.

I’m Ruby Garcia, a passionate rehabilitative mental health worker. Originally from the vibrant city of Chicago, I moved to Las Vegas 28 years ago, and it has been my home ever since. I'm the proud mother of two wonderful children and the joyful owner of two dogs. My oldest child is currently pursuing a bachelor's at UNLV, and my youngest just started her college journey.
I recently earned my bachelor's degree in Social Work from Walden University and am actively working towards a Master's in Clinical Social Work. My goal is to deepen my expertise and enhance my ability to support individuals and families facing mental and behavioral health challenges.
With over 14 years of experience in the mental health field, I have dedicated myself to learning and growing within social work. My roles as a Basic Skills Trainer and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Service provider allow me to engage directly with families and individuals in their homes or community settings, teaching skills that range from basic living and self-care to advanced social and interpersonal skills. My approach includes creative and interactive methods like role-play, games, arts and crafts, and targeted interventions to manage emotions and conflicts effectively.
I am particularly passionate about empowering parents with stress reduction techniques, problem-solving skills, and positive discipline strategies to nurture healthier family dynamics.
I love what I do, and I am excited about the opportunity to continue advancing my career and expanding my skills to better serve those dealing with behavioral and mental health issues. When I'm not working, I love to cook and travel. Join me on a journey towards healing, growth, and achieving personal objectives, equipped with the right support and resources.
